SCHOLARSHIP AVAILABLE: The Troy & Winnie Jones Scholarship applications are now available in the church office. Anyone attending a Baptist college or university in Virginia is eligible to apply. Please contact Teresa Adkins for more information.

Wednesday Evening Activites: Wednesday Night activites (Fellowship Meal, Bible studies, Children in Action) will be in recess this summer June 13 - August 1. The Sanctuary Choir will continue to practice during the summer however.

Yard Sale: Our annual yard sale will be held again on June 1 & 2. Items you wish to donate need to be brought to the Rock no later than May 28. All funds raised will be used for the summer mission trip to Tarboro, NC.

ITEM OF THE MONTH for Operation Christmas Child : Each month there will be boxes available in the church foyer & in the hall to collect items for shoeboxes all through the year. The item for the month of JUNE is small toys.

Missions Committee Meeting: Wednesday, June 6 at 5pm.

NEW CHURCH DIRECTORY: If you are interested in helping update our pictorial church directory, please meet with Teresa Adkins on Wednesday, May 9 at 5pm in the church library (Ladies' Friendship Classroom).

HOLY COMMUNION: We will observe Holy Communion on Sunday, June 3 during our 11am service.

DEACONS' MEETING: Sunday, June 3 at 8:30am

CHILDREN IN ACTION: Our Wednesday night missions program for children (K - Grade 6) will be in recess this summer. Join us on Wednesday, August 8 as we begin a new year! :)

Sunday School: We encourage you to get involved in Sunday School at 10am on Sunday mornings. There are classes for all ages. This is a wonderful opportunity to deepen your faith and to connect with others in a more personal way.

Meals on Wheels: Our Meals on Wheels Ministry will begin again in August. If you have a family member, neighbor, or know of someone in our congregation who we may serve, please contact Susan Davidson or the church office.

Church Library: Be sure to visit our Church Library. There are many ready available resources at your disposal. We have Christian fiction, novels, devotionals, Bible translations and much more.

Let's Help-Grab N Go Ministry: Food items are needed for the Department of Social Services Adult Protective Services. The food items help bridge the gap at the end of the month. Food items needed are: Crackers, peanut butter, vienna sausage, beanie weenies, pork n beans, canned vegetables/fruit, pudding cups, jello, granola bars, pop tarts, powdered milk, instant potatoes, oatmeal/cereal, soups/chili/beef stew, canned meats, coffee/juice/soda, mac n cheese(with liquid cheese), canned pasta, ramen noodles, spaghetti noodles/sauce, oil, pancake mix/syrup, rice, ensure, dried fruits, chips, any other non-perishable items. Other items such as: lotions, soap, body wash, shampoo, deodorant, shaving cream, razors, toothbrush/paste, denture cleaner/paste, brush/comb, socks, wash clothes, towels, dish towels, pot holders, gloves, scarves, knit hats, puzzle books, ink pens, note pads, toilet paper, dish liquid, laundry detergent, trash bags, throws/fleece blankets. Our church has made this ministry, Grab N Go, our year round mission. These items can be placed in the white baskets in the hall year round.
